Artist Statement
My exploration begins at the core of human nature—the brain, its incredible ability to adapt, learn, and survive. Neuroplasticity is more than a scientific term; it’s a story of struggle, transformation, and the relentless pursuit of balance. I am captivated by the concept of homeostasis—the delicate edge between order and collapse, between life and its disappearance. But what happens when that balance is disrupted? When the system proves too fragile to hold? Each piece becomes a stage for this conflict. Biological processes—adaptation, perception, transformation—constantly collide with the human drive to make sense of an unstable world. I study how the brain forges new connections, sometimes against all odds, to survive. This is survival, this is creation, this is meaning—made even where none exists.Inspired by the philosophy of optimistic nihilism, I embrace the paradox of the absurd: the world may lack inherent meaning, but this absence frees us to create our own. The absurd is not an obstacle but a source of opportunity—a space where freedom and responsibility merge to turn the void into a field of creativity. As someone with a learning disability, I rely on tools like neural networks to structure my process and deepen my exploration of ideas. These technologies help me navigate the balance between intuition and precision, between creating meaning and accepting its absence. Each piece I create seeks to ask questions: How do we adapt to a world that resists us? Where is the line between balance and destruction? And how can we find harmony while existing on the fragile edge between order and absurdity? There are no answers, only the constant movement forward.

Neglected by Evolution. An artist statement.
When we come to natural history museums, we can vividly observe how the evolutionary process bred and reassembled human species, and the result is that we see at least 21 species of Homo that have ever inhabited our ancient homeworld.
But what we don't see... Billions of mutations that never happened, languages that will never be heard, ideas that will never materialize into consciousness, myriad species that were denied existence.
I want to capture this ghostly moment, a glorious act of evolution but without its inevitability.
I am inspired by this vast ocean of possibilities that evolution has neglected in the context of our incredible world.
I'm inspired by primate studies, medieval bestiaries, and speculative biology.
